A Message From Principal Mary Brinkman
STV School would not be on the cutting edge of academics, nor be the solid and viable institution it is today without FRIENDS of St. Thomas of Villanova School. We have the ability and tools to meet each child’s academic, social and spiritual needs because of the consistent support and outreach.
FOSTOVS works collaboratively with the school administration, faculty, and pastor to review student need and research the latest in educational theory and practice to promote our young scholar’s growth as a total person. All our faculty and students, from Preschool to eighth grade, benefit from FRIENDS of St. Thomas of Villanova School.
From the latest curriculum to hands-on experiences, FOSTOVS provides the help needed for students to excel, both in the classroom and as an individual. Teachers are able to support and encourage our young scholar’s curiosity by providing the students with field trips to support their learning. Students can take advantage of the new flexible seating in every classroom, while teachers have their “Wish Lists” for their classrooms met. This positive chain creates a positive culture throughout the school that is tangible to anyone walking through our front doors.
Our school will continue to flourish, in large part, due to FOSTOVS advocating on our behalf. With the combination of an excellent staff at St. Thomas, along with the financial assistance and support from FOSTOVS, we are able to maintain our high academic standards. We are also able to continually analyze and advance our curriculum, as evidenced by our testing data and student performance in high school, college, and careers.
All those who support FRIENDS of St. Thomas of Villanova School are our very own guardian angels. We identify a need, envision a solution, and FOSTOVS provides the necessary tools to ensure our students have every available cutting edge asset for optimum growth. Whether in preschool or 8th grade, or in Math Club, science class, or performing in our fine arts musicals, FOSTOVS presence is there.
Thank you, FOSTOVS, for helping St. Thomas of Villanova School develop the whole student. Our students come to school with a smile on their faces, in large part because of the enhancements you have provided.
God bless you!

We wholeheartedly support FOSTOVS.”

“I attended St. Thomas of Villanova School (STV) for 10 years, starting from Pre-School 4. My school journey was amazing. I loved this school since the day I came here. The teachers respected me, and I respected them. STV School was a great school to learn and to become a better student and person. The curriculum was very precise and challenging. We had different science fairs every year, went on numerous educational and fun field trips, attended different clubs and sports, and were part of the theater and music shows. I participated in many different in-school and out-of-school activities. Everyone at STV was destined for a great future and guided us down the right path. In addition, STV teachers always gave me the confidence and skills I needed to blossom in high school. These are some of the many reasons why I value my education at STV School.
I will never ever forget STV School in my life. The school truly embraced me academically, socially and spiritually. I have been so proud and lucky to attend STV School.”

“St. Thomas of Villanova School not only thoroughly prepares children for high school, but also brings them up in a Catholic spirit. Noteworthy is the interesting way of conducting classes and the proper selection of various teaching materials (aids). Classes are interesting, creative and develop children’s skills in various fields of study. The cooperation of teachers with parents also deserves a high rating. Teachers always help quickly and effectively achieve the goal. The school has various interesting education and sports clubs and a high-tech science laboratory. By choosing St. Thomas of Villanova School, we are providing our children with a high level of education and upbringing in accordance with our Catholic faith.”

“As a mother of two girls, who decided to send them to STV School, I can highly recommend this school to other parents. The main reasons, but not the only ones, are:
- It is a place, where they could get not only a high level of Catholic education, but also a solid foundation for their later life, based on respect, hard work, and love to God.
- The school offers small classes, which allows teachers to be able to pay attention to each student’s needs individually.
- Attending this school makes our children feel like it is their second home.
- Teachers know all the kid’s names and parents know each other.
- All decisions regarding school, activities and education are made together by families and school management.”

“St. Thomas of Villanova School offered me an educational environment like no other. When I think back to my 11 years there, I am reminded of dedicated teachers, strong Catholic values, lifelong friendships, and a family-like atmosphere. Because of the smaller class sizes, teachers were able to focus on students’ individual needs, fostering an enriching academic experience. The Catholic education I received at St. Thomas not only laid a strong foundation for my faith, but it also instilled values I have carried with me throughout all aspects of my life. I am blessed to consider my classmates some of my dearest friends to this day, this is thanks to the unbreakable bonds formed in the walls of STV. I am so grateful for my St. Thomas of Villanova education and I would not trade it for the world.”

As a 29-yr old professional in Healthcare Technology development, I reflect with gratitude on my history of academic excellence that began with the curriculum and foundational instruction provided to me at St. Thomas of Villanova School. I am now able to understand how the creative teaching, private education, extracurricular opportunities, and Catholic morals that are bundled into the STV experience prepared me for success, both academically and personally, continuing to the present day. Words cannot capture my appreciation for every instructor, every friend, every parent, pastor, and principal that blessed my time at STV. I hope that one day in the future my own children will have the opportunity to join this Catholic community. It has been my pleasure to commit my time and financial support to FOSTOVS as they continue to elevate the student experience at St. Thomas, offering the current generation the same superior foundation I received.

“St. Thomas of Villanova equals academics and much more. Here at St. Thomas we are concerned with the whole child, academics, spiritual, physical, and emotional well being. These components are all important in the child’s growth as a Christian student. I have worked at St. Thomas from 1980-2012, and I have witnessed the growth of these students and development.”

“St. Thomas of Villanova elementary school provided me with the academic, spiritual and social foundation necessary for success in high school and beyond. To this day, I still recall and appreciate the challenging curriculum, masses with Fr. Rowley, and lifelong friendships formed at STV.”
Retired Teacher, 7th and 8th Grades 1984-2005
“I taught Jr. High Language Arts for 21 years at St. Thomas of Villanova School and retired in 2005. As I think back, I can say that my experience at St. Thomas was a very positive, enriching one. Our challenging curriculum provided my students with the necessary tools to be successful in high school and beyond. Just ask any of them how to diagram a sentence or write a research paper and then ask…who taught them? It was a very nurturing faith based environment whose sole goal was ensuring our students experience a well rounded education. It was a privilege to help them reach that goal and I think St. Thomas, with the help and involvement of their parents, did a splendid job.”

“The value of Catholic education is at times difficult to put in words. Learning about our Catholic faith during daily religion class is important and valuable, but Catholic schools provide so much more. It is the regular school masses in which children have an active role as they pray with their teachers and friends. It is the immersion during second grade as they prepare on a daily basis for their First Holy Communion. It is praying before meals and for special intentions. It is teaching them how to integrate their faith into their everyday lives. St. Thomas provided this important faith foundation to me many years ago. I am grateful to my parents and all of the teachers that so willingly provided this religious instruction. I am so blessed that my husband and I are also able to send our four children to Catholic schools. We strive to live our faith on a daily basis.”

“I was fortunate to have attended St. Thomas. I received a wonderful education both in and out of the classroom. The St. Thomas experience instilled strong Catholic values in me and helped shape me as a person. The school’s families, faculty and students were a closely knit group and we all knew each other. We were there for each other. I’m sure it’s still like that today. I have nothing but fond memories of St. Thomas – attending daily mass during Advent and Lent, first Friday mass, boy scouts, sports, altar serving and, most importantly, lifelong friendships that endure to this day.”

“I count myself lucky and blessed to have spent my formative years learning, cultivating friendships, and building the foundation of my faith at St. Thomas of Villanova. Although small and unassuming, this neighborhood Catholic school prepared me well for my future endeavors; not just academically, but spiritually and morally. My time at STV is a cherished part of my childhood.”
Retired Teacher, 2nd and 4th Grades 1983-2010
“Looking back on my 27 years as a teacher at St. Thomas of Villanova,I feel a very strong attachment to this school. I firmly believe that St. Thomas provides a high quality education and that the religious instruction builds a strong Faith foundation. St. Thomas presents a challenging curriculum and allows a variety of extra curricular activities both within a course of study and outside of school. Our approach has helped students develop skills in team building, problem solving, working together and trust. Teachers and parents have always worked well together to help the students achieve the high standards placed before them. I am honored to have been a part of St. Thomas and know our students have been given a solid base to be successful in their future endeavors.”
